7 Day NSS Special Camp inaugurated

Amritsar:- Seven days special camp of NSS unit 2 of Guru Nanak Dev University was inaugurated here in the University Campus. The objective of the special camp is to make students and volunteers aware about how to work selflessly to uplift the marginalized section of the society.

               

Guest of honor, Prof Hardeep Singh, Dean Academic Affairs while inaugurating the camp guided the students and told them to always have positive attitude towards society and motivated them to participate in different activities organised by the NSS unit of the university. According to him knowledgeable person not only take care of fundamental rights but it also helps them to perform their fundamental duties. After that some of the students shared their experiences, expectations and their views about NSS activities.

               

While welcoming the guests and students, program officer Dr. Rajesh Kumar said that camp will help to create value of serving the society the while pursuing their education. He further told that in the coming days the students/volunteers will visit different villages of Amritsar adopted by the GNDU where volunteers will provide their voluntary services for the upliftment of the society. According to him it is the responsibility of the citizens of the country to make more and more people aware so that they will perform their fundamental duties when required. 

           

    

At the end of session one of the volunteer thanked esteemed guest of honour and program officer for organising  such a knowledgeable session for the volunteers. The camp would end on 09 Jan 2022.
